2017 was the year that Diane and I decided to do a 4 month camping trip to Alaska. This was a massive undertaking. We decided to pretty much try and plan the whole trip out rather than just wing it. Our friend Edie Doherty was going with us and we wanted to be sure and get good campgrounds with full services whenever possible. We studied the maps and read the Milepost, the birding books and studied online articles about what to see and where to go. The first trip report (#0) describes how we planned the trip. It was a
